Sometimes we take the support of our parents for granted. We take both the little and big things they do for granted. Some of these things may be exposed; and some may be secret. What we generally do is take them for granted, as most things are in place.

The question however, is; will our parents be there forever? Will they continue to fight our battles? Will they be there spiritually, morally and physically? Will they be there financially? What if their capital runs out? What if they die? What if they lose their income? What if there is conflict? What if there is calamity? What if they become unwell? And so on, and so forth.

Are you prepared for such eventualities? Have you thought about these possible realities? Or you conveniently avoid such thoughts, and wave away any negativity? Could there be ways of managing such possibilities? Can you increase your spirituality by giving thanks and praise for what you have? Could you worship the most High?

Could you engage in alms giving to those who are less fortunate? Could you engage in charity in its many possible forms? Can you volunteer to help enrich society? Can you invest your money in preparation for the rainy days? Can you constantly do good deeds every day and every week? Can you put a smile on those who are sad, whether they are rich or poor? Can you invest your today in readiness for your tomorrow? Will you plan to fail by failing to plan? Or everything will be okay and no bad thing shall befall you?

Whatever you decide to do, remember that our parents may not be there forever. We are all on earth for a while.

Thank you very much for your time.
